Waco TX Booklet

Challenge
The challenge for this project was to design a travel booklet highlighting places to visit in Waco. The project required conducting research, writing the content, photographing locations, and designing the entire booklet. The goal was to create an engaging publication that encourages readers to explore the city.

Approach
For this project, I approached the booklet as if it were a scrapbook documenting adventures around Waco. I took all of the photographs myself while visiting locations around the city and designed the spreads to feel personal and collected. Inspired by the adventure book from the movie Up, I created a string-bound scrapbook style with paper tears, layered textures, and scanned elements that I gathered myself. This approach helps the booklet feel like a collection of memories from exploring the city rather than a traditional travel guide. The final booklet includes eight spreads, including a table of contents, that guide readers through different experiences and destinations around Waco. All mockups for the project were created using Adobe Firefly AI.
